The commencement of a nationwide strike by the Nigerian Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress has affected some activities in Kano state.
our correspondent who went round Kano metropolis to monitor the situation ,reports that some of the public schools were closed as students and pupils were sent back to home,while a few among private schools countunue with their academic activities.
Our correspondent observed that the state secretariat was closed, civil servants strictly comply with NLC directives .
meanwhile financial institutions were also shut down,but markets were fully operational as people countunue with their legitimate business activities .
our correspondent observed that security were beefed off at strategic locations.
it could be recalled NLC and TUC embarked on the strike as a result of alleged molestation of NLC’s National strike at Imo State last week.
