Northeast Governors Resolve to Establish Regional Security Outlets, Encourage Massive Food Production.

The Northeast Governors Forum has expressed determination to come up with a robust agricultural framework aimed at ensuring food security in the Subregion.
The forum also assured of a collective effort towards confronting the security challenges through provision of regional security intelligence.
Babagana Zulum who expressed concern on how the insecurity situation affected farming activities in the subregion noted that plans are underway to provide adequate security that would encourage massive food production.
He expressed optimism that through the support of the federal government, the challenges affecting the region will be come to an end.
In an address the Taraba State Governor Darius Ishaku said the meeting has avail the opportunity for the Governors to deliberate on critical issue affecting the with a view to proffering solution.
The meeting has in attendance Governors of Borno Babagana Zulum, Bauchi Bala Mohammed, Adamawa Ahmadu Fintiri, Taraba Darius Ishaku, Gombe Inuwa Yahaya and Deputy Governor Yobe state.
