Northern Governors have been requested to put extra effort towards finding lasting solution to the insecurity and poverty bedeviling the region.
The National Chairman Council of Ulama of the Jamaatu Izalatu Bidiah Waikamatu Sunnah JIBWS Shiek Sani Yahaya Jingir made the call at a National preaching organized by the group in Bauchi.
Shiek Yahaya Yahaya Jingir noted that insecurity and other social problems have been bordering the region hence the need for converted effort to addressing them.
The Islamic Cleric who explained that most of the problems facing the country is masterminded by some selfish individuals urged Nigerians to elect leaders with proven integrity who have the country at heart.
He used the forum to call on Muslims not to associate Allah with any creature, and to be united and love one another.
Also the Bauchi State Chairman Council of Ulama of JIBWIS Shiek Salihu Sulaiman Ningi said the preaching session was organized to promote unity and togetherness among Muslims.
Shiek Sulaiman Ningi urged Nigerians to keep away from bad deeds for Allah intervention to the challenges facing the society.
Some Islamic preacher’s stressed the need for Muslims to contribute towards propagation of the religion.
Hundreds of thousands of Muslims from within and outside the country attended the preaching.
