NRHJN Commends Magistrate Garuba for Her Passion in Tackling GBV.
The Network of Reproductive Health Journalists in Nigeria, NRHJN, has commended the Senior Magistrate, Amina Garuba Ahmed for her outstanding contribution towards the actualization of the Violence Against Persons Prohibition, VAPP law in Bauchi State.
The President of the Network, Mrs Yinka Shokunbi made the commendation while presenting a plague and letter of appreciation to the Senior Magistrate Amina Garuba , in her office.
Mrs Shokunbi who said the achieving the feat in the state was commendable, called for more idea generation for robust conversation in the area of Sexual and Reproductive Health issues.
Represented by the Publicity Secretary of the Network, Elizabeth Kar, the President urged the awardee to contribute more in a quest towards realising the full implemention of the VAPP law in the state.
In her response, the Senior Magistrate, Amina Garuba expressed appreciation for the honour done her and promised continued support for the Network activities
Senior Magistrate Garuba served as the Guest Speaker during the Network’s tenth anniversary celebration spoke on the situation of Gender Based Violence in Bauchi state.
