NYSC CDS Group establishes Risk Reduction Clubs in schools across Bauchi State.

A Community Development Service CDS Group “National Emergency Management Agency” NEMA under the National Youth Service Corps in Bauchi has commenced constitution of Risk Reduction Clubs in schools across the State.

This is part of its continued efforts to sensitize the populace on ways to mitigate the effects of disaster in their various communities.

Inaugurating the club at Crown College Bauchi, President of the CDS Group Yusuf Isah Mazai charged the students to use the platform to educate themselves and other colleagues and put what they would learn into practice.

Yusuf Isah Mazai further called on the school management to give the students maximum support and cooperation for them to excel, adding that efforts are on top gear to create more clubs across schools in the state.

Responding, the leader of the club Usman Muhammad thanked the CDS group for the opportunity given them, and urged members to cooperate to enable them justify the confidence reposed on them.

In a remark, Vice Principal of the school Umar Abdullahi who appreciated the CDS group for the gesture, said creating such clubs would help in educating students on ways to handle disaster occurrences, and urged them to maintain the momentum.

The CDS Group was established to educate the public on ways to address community related emergency issues by corps members serving in the state.
