Over fifty Pregnant Women were sensitized on how to pr canevent Malaria in Maiduguri as global day of Malaria commemorated.
The event which took place at Abbaganaram Primary Healthcare Centre Maiduguri have the Pregnant Women whi were on the ante natal care guided on how best to prevent Malaria disease as well as its implication on the unborn child.
Speaking on the importance of the day, Director International Care for Medical Solutions Limited (ICMS) Pharmacist Bala Ibrahim said, the day is set aside to create awareness on the Malaria disease and steps to get rid of it.
Pharmacist Bala Ibrahim had while advising the participants at the event cautioned them to adopt all the measures put in place against Malaria throughout their Pregnancy for better delivery and for protection of the Child even after birth.
He urged them to always attend to Medical Practitioner when infected and desist from the habit self medication which according to him harmful to ones health.
The Director ICMS therefore enjoined the Participants of the event to also sensitize other persons around them on the knowledge gained.
He enjoined them to always use treated Mosquito net and distributed the Mosquito net to each of the fifty Pregnant Woman.
The Director ICMS also assured to provide the Centre with Malaria Medication for those diagnosed with Malaria disease.
