Mother to the former President of the Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan, Hajiya Halima Ibrahim has been laid to rest on Sunday.
Late Hajiya Halima passed away on Saturday at her residence in Gashua town, Bade Local Government Area of Yobe State at 86.
She was buried according to Islamic rites, after a funeral prayer, held at the Gashua Central Mosque, located in the Emir’s Palace.
According to a statement by the Media Adviser to Senator Ahmad Lawan, Mr Ezrel Tabiowo, senator Lawan appreciates the outpouring of love and support already received from friends, relatives, and colleagues.
Similarly, Radio Nigeria Sunshine FM has condoled with the Senator, his family and Bade Local government over the loss.
The General Manager Radio Nigeria Sunshine FM, Engr. Mohammed Dahiru Sani, described the death of Haj. Fatima Ibrahim as a lost not only to the Senator and family, but to the community at large.
Engr Dahiru Prayed Allah to forgive all her shortcomings and Jannatul Firdausi, be her final home.
