The Zonal Director, Radio Nigeria North_east Zone, Barrister Babayo Askira Says Professionalism should be the guiding principle of all staff of the Corporation in discharging their duties.

The Zonal Director stated this during a familiarisation visit to Radio Nigeria, Fombina FM in Yola.

The Zonal Director, Radio Nigeria, North_east Zone, Barrister Babayo Askira said because Radio Nigeria is a National Medium, there’s a need for its Staff to always maintain professionalism in their programs and News reportage.

The Zonal Director also emphasized the need for training and retraining of Staff to acquire modern knowledge in the broadcast industry to enhance the quality and delivery of good broadcast content to the public.

He said all these will not be achieved if there is no discipline and honesty among the Staff pledging to work with other management Staff of FRCN to improve the working condition of Staff as well as improve on the infrastructure already existing in the Zone for good Service delivery.

Barrister Askira acknowledged the abundant talents in the Northeast Zone of the Corporation and assured that these talents will be harnessed to the advantage of not only to the Corporation but the entire country, adding that, he has set out to visit all the Radio Nigeria FM Stations in the North East which has already started with the visit to Fombina FM in Yola and will proceed to Gift FM in Jalingo, Taraba State which will soon be commissioned.

Earlier, while welcoming the Zonal Director, the General Manager, Radio Nigeria Fombina FM, Yola, Alhaji Dahiru Garba Mohammed applauded the Zonal Director for his keen interest in the development and growth of Radio Nigeria in the North East which he has demonstrated with a prompt tour of the Stations in the Zone, to get first-hand knowledge on their operational capacities.

Barrister Babayo Askira took over the leadership of Radio Nigeria North East Zone on the 1st of December, 2021 after the retirement of the Former Director, Mallam Abdullahi Yahaya Maikano.
