SCHOOLS RESUMPTION:ERRING TEACHERS TO FACE PUNISHMENT IN ADAMAWA.

Ministry of Education in Adamawa State is to deal decisively with any teacher that fails to resume duty post following the resumption of public schools across the state.

The Commissioner of Education Mrs.Wilbina Jackson gave the warning when she led a supervisory team from the ministry to monitor the resumption of teachers and students.

Some of the schools visited include; Government Day secondary school Rumde, Capital Secondary school, and Aliyu Mustapha Academy in Yola North local government area.

Others are Government Day Secondary school Shagari, Lamido Sanda Government Day secondary school, and Yolde pate in Yola South Local Government area.

Speaking to Newsmen after monitoring the resumption of schools activities, the Commissioner frowned at a situation where teachers hide under the guise of health conditions by not reporting to their duty posts despite the resumption last Monday.

According to her, the ministry received reports which are counter-productive to the Government derive to revamp the educational sector hence the supervision of resumption of Schools.

Mrs.Wilbina Jackson called for early lesson planning by teachers to reinvigorate teaching at both primary and secondary schools.
