SEMA Distributes Pushcarts to about 100 Households in Buni-Yadi, Yobe State.

About 100 female youths and women in Mairi Community of Buni Yadi, Gujba Local Government Area have received an income generating water pushcarts.

This followed the construction of a 26,000 Liters Solar Borehole with Reticulation, by Yobe State Emergency Management Agency SEMA.

The Executive Secretary Yobe State Emergency Management Agency, Dr. Mohammed Goje said the move is aimed at empowering the community based women households through access to safe and portable drinking water.

Dr. Goje explained that the income generating mechanism when adequately utilized would generate a monthly income of about 30,000 Naira to each household.

Each household is expected to own a pushcart contained 12 jericans.
