The Director General of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig.-Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim, has advice Corps members against participation in host communities politics.
Shuaibu gave the advice during the closing ceremony of 2021 Batch B stream II orientation course held at the NYSC permanent Orientation Camp Kusalla, Karaye local government Ares of Kano State.
Brigedia General Shuaibu Ibrahim who was represented by the Kano State Coordinator of NYSC, Hajiya Aisha Tata Mohammad , said the Scheme was aimed at inculcating decipline patriotism and building peace in the minds of the young graduates ,geared towards having a great Nation.
He Charges the Corps members to shun drug abuse, trafficking, cybercrime, advanced fee fraud and other criminal activities during and after their service year with the aim of having a crime free Society.
The Director General admonished the corps members to respect the culture and values of their host Communities and should contribute meaningfully to the development the Kano state and the Nation at large.
He further commended the corps members for complying with the COVID 19 prevention protocols during their stay in camp and appeal to them to always ensure that they always adhere to preventive measure where ever they found themselves.
Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim appealed to employers of labour to avoid rejecting Corps members posted to them, and should also provide enabling environment for them to develop their potentials.
