Some Stakeholders and civil society Organizations in Bauchi State have called for holistic approach towards fighting the menace of corruption in the society.

They also called for effective monitoring of constituency projects as well as enlightenment of people on their right of being provided with developmentally projects.

They made the call at forum organized by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences ICPC on constituency and Executive projects Tracking Initiative held in Bauchi.

One of them the chief Imam Kofar Dumi Jumaat Moaque Imam Rabiu Shehu Muhammad who said corruption has entered deep into the minds of Nigerians stressed the need to join hands to eradicate it.

The chief Executive Director Syndicate For Supporting Women and Children Hajiya Binta Ibrahim and The Executive Director Community Helping Hand Initiative Zainab Hassan who said constituency projects that would benefit people noting that some political office holders denied their constituents their right which need needed to be addressed.

On her part the Executive Director Meenal foundation Balkisu Sambo said youth should be the focal points in order to reduce redundancy and corruption in the society.

On his part the District Head of Miri Hassan Abubakar Othman call on Nigerians to go back to olden ways of tradition and ways of living their life in order to restore the county’s lost glory.

In a paper presentation the principal Supritendents ICPC Bauchi Office Mr Laban Emmanuel Rakum said the Constituency Projects Tracking Group was launched in April 2010 to track constituency projects implementation and performance .

Mr Laban Rakum therefore call on Religious, Traditional leaders as well as Civil society Organizations to closely monitor corrupt practices and transparency issues which have become rampant in the delivery of public projects in their various communities and cause change to happen by reporting observed sharp practices to the ICPC.
