Technical Education; a gate way to national development

Technical education has been described as the getaway to national development and progress.

The provost, federal college of education technical, Bichi, Kano, Professor Muhammad Bashir Fage stated this during an interview with Radio Nigeria in Gombe, after the 20th convocation of federal college of education technical, Gombe.

Professor Muhammad Bashir, said, technical education has the ability to transformed and change the lingering technological backwardness of the country in term of increasing productivity and empowering individuals to became self reliant, explaining that communities with strong human resources attract business investment.

He explained that as a former chairman of colleges of education in the country, the national policies on education is on the right course, adding that their are two bills at the national assembly that have passed first and second reading awaiting president Muhammad Buhari’s assention which will further improve technical education in Nigeria.

The provost therefore called on youths to enroll in technical colleges to acquire vocational skill and move with global trend of industrialization.

Professor Muhammad Bashir Fage, also congratulated the provost FCET, Gombe, Dr Ali Baderu and the management of the college, praying for success in their endeavours.
