The Chief of Army Staff Assures troops of continues Welfare.

The Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya said the welfare of Officers and Soldiers of the Nigerian Army and their families will remain his top priority.
He stated this at the Christmas luncheon with the troops of Sector two Joint Task Force OPERATION HADIN KAI in Damaturu.
The Chief of Army Staff who was represented at the occasion by the Commander Nigerian Army Armoured Corps Major General Suleiman Idriss, charged the troops to ensure professionalism while discharging their assigned duty.

” I, therefore, charged you all to continue to remain focused, disciplined and loyal to constituted authority while ensuring that you professionally defeat all adversaries”.
The COAS added that he will continue providing effective strategic guidance to the leadership of all Nigeria Army formations, establishments and institutions across the country towards meeting national security imperatives.
He urged the Troops of the Nigeria Army to use the Christmas period and pray for their gallant colleagues who paid the supreme price in the course of depending on their fatherland.
Lt General Faruk Yahaya further commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his continued support to the Nigeria Army
The COAS also appreciated the efforts of the Yobe State Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni for supporting the troops located in the state.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Commander Sector 2 Joint Task Force Northeast OPERATION HADIN KAI Brig Gen Adamu Nura,
General Nura thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for his support of the leadership of the Nigerian Army.
“To our amiable Chief of Army Staff and Theatre commander Operation Hadin Kai we are most grateful for your directions, necessary support and provision of our needs in the conduct of our counter-insurgency operations”.
He also commended Governor Mai Mala Buni, for his untiring support to troops in the state, assured that the Sector under his Command will continue to work hard towards ensuring peace.
