The Theatre Commander Joint Task Force North East Operation Hadin Kai, Major General Christopher Musa has reiterated the Command’s commitment of support and defence of democracy in the Country.
Major General Christopher Musa made the commitment known at the combined Nigerian Army Social Activities (NASA) organised by both the Theatre and 7 Division Nigerian Army at Maimalari Cantonment Maiduguri.
The Theatre Commander explained that the Theatre Command shall continue to exercise its constitutional responsibilities by nipping out all the adversaries and remained apolitical through providing an enabling environment for peaceful conduct of the forthcoming polls.
He said the Theatre has recorded a landmark feat via both kinetic and non kinetic measures which resulted in the surrender of over eighty thousand (80,000) insurgents and neutralizing substantial part of them as well as their enclaves.
Governor Baba Gana Umara Zulum was represented at the event by the Borno State Head of Service Barrister Malam Fannami who commended the Command for its gallantry and sacrifices that saw the restoration of peace to Borno State and other Northeastern States affected by Insurgency, saying the feat as monumental.
Governor Baba Gana Umara Zulum stated that his administration could be able to perform due to avenues provided by the Military by denying the terrorists a freedom to thrive in the State.
In a remark, the General Officer Commanding 7 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Wahid Shuaibu extended their gratitude to Commander in Chief, President Muhammadu Buhari for his strategic guidance to the Armed Forces and Governor Baba Gana Zulum for his unrelenting support to the Theatre
throughout the Counter Insurgency and Counter Terrorism Operations.
