Volunteer Youths Fumigates Their Immediate Environment To Get Rid Of Malaria.

Volunteer Youths in Potiskum Local government in Yobe State, have completed the environmental fumigation of water ways, houses, bushy/dirty areas and public toilets in a bid to get rid of mosquitoes.

The Youths who came from the seven different wards of Potiskum says their actions were aimed at complimenting the efforts of state government, developmental partners and also to express their support to the state house of assembly flag bearer representing Potiskum under the All Progressive Congress APC Alh. Adamu Sarkin Ado.

When contacted, a close associate of the Flag bearer Alh Hamza Mai Dede said on recieving the development, they proceeded to lease with the Youths in order to ensure the genuiety of the spray, to avoid the use of harmful substances.

Mai Dede called on wealthy individuals, politicians and developmental partners in the state to contribute their own quarter in the fight against malaria parasites.

Radio Nigeria Sunshine FM reports that the beneficiaries of the fumigation expressed joy, satisfaction and hope on a better future for the youths.

Fumigation is one of the major ways used to reduce the risk of been affected by malaria parasites and other communicable disease.

The wards fumigated by the volunteer Youths include: Dogo Tebo, Dogo Nini, Bolewa A, Bolewa B, Barebari Bauya Lailai, Yerimaram and Hausawa Asibiti.
