WORKERS VERIFICATION: JGSG Sets Up Complaints Committee

Jigawa State Government says it has set up a committee to looks into the complaints of the unverified workers in the state.

The state Head of Service, Alhaji Muhammad Dagaceri said any worker with cogent reasons for not participating in the verification exercise and felt adversely affected is directed to contact the committee at the office of the Head of the Civil Service for verification.

He explained that the verification of the State workforce was meant to inject sanity into the system and engender credibility in the State payrolls and not to create unnecessary sufferings to the workers.

Signed by the Public Relations Officer, Office of the Head of the Civil Service Ismaila Ibrahim Dutse said, the exercise was not meant to downsize the workforce or witch-hunt any civil servants but to maintain up to date payroll system.

The statement further explained that, the present administration has no intention to disengage any worker but instead recruited more workers and makes a significant move to covert J-Teach and J-Health workers into permanent and pensionable positions, in addition to filling other gaps in the service.
