The Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, Yobe State Council wishes to rejoice with the teeming media practitioners on the 2022 World Press Freedom Day.
According to the statement jointly signed by Chairman Rajab Mohammed and the council Secretary Al-Hassan Sule Mamudo, the Union wishes to appeal to the government to intensify efforts in the fight against criminality to enable peaceful coexistence and movement across the Country.
The statement urges members of the union to be more professional in their reportage, by verifying the information before sharing it with the public to curtail legal tussles.
As the 2023 elections draw nearer, it also appealing to politicians to shun campaigns of calumny to enable a smooth transition.
