Yobe state Education Trust Fund committee, YETFUND, paid an inspection visit to the newly constructed Model and Mega schools across the state.
Briefing media on the tour the Chairman of the committee Engr Mohammed Abubakar, said the outing which is called a reconnaissance visit of the Yobe educational trust fund, would give the committee a basis to prepare for the intervention.
The Committee Chairman who expressed satisfaction with the quality standards of the projects explained that the next line of action would be determined based on the outcome of a meeting with the relevant stakeholders in the educational sector.
“We will hold a meeting with the officials of the ministry of education and the SUBEB and outline critical issues that we need to intervene on, and soon after the intervention would commence”.
The Committee also paid homage to the Emirs of Fika, Potiskum, Gujba, and Damaturu at their respective palaces.
The committee leader, inform the traditional rulers that the committee members were in the areas to inspect the model and mega schools provided in their towns by the Yobe state government.
In their separate remarks, the Royal Fathers thanked the committee for the visit and assured their total support for the government policy and programs.
Speaking in Potiskum, The sites engineer, Musa Ismail Yerima, said “the schools comprised 30 Classrooms, administrative blocks for JSS that contained principal, vice principal offices, staff rooms and Staff toilets”,
He stated that “the primary section has the head teachers, assistant head teachers offices, toilets and staff rooms”.
Engr Yerima added that it also consists clinic block, library and ICT room others are technical workshops and 2 blocks of 2 bedrooms for staff.
