Youth Group Sensitise Voters On Good Governance.

A Non Governmental Organisation, North West Youth Support for Good Governance has reaffirmed its determination towards enlightening people from the North Western Geopolitical Zone of the country on the importance of Voter Cards revalidation, aimed at exercising their franchise.

The National Chairman of the Association Comrade Fatihu Bello Raha stated this during a roundtable meeting held in Kano.

He said the main focus of the association was to sensitize people from the grassroot on the importance of revalidating their voter registration cards, which is currently ongoing in all parts of the federation.

Comrade Raha noted that with adequate sensitization voters from the northwestern part of the country would be able to vote credible and competent leaders for a better society.

“This is a movement which comprises 186 local government areas across the northwest geopolitical zone, comprising 2004 wards and 29,529,000 polling units aimed at educating the voters to know their rights and responsibilities”.

“f a voter knows the value of his PVC, I think all other challenges regarding voting incompetent leaders will be minimized” – he assured.

In separate remarks, the coordinators of the association in Kaduna and Zamfara states they Usman Idris Jere and Ahmad Abdulgafar said it was time for the youths to sensitized their peers in the nooks and crannies of the nation on the importance of voting competent and credible leaders.

The roundtable meeting was attended by representatives from all the northwest states to include Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara.
