Youths, women’s empowerment will be my top priority -Gov. Buni.

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state says youths and women empowerment will continue to be among the top priorities of his administration in the state.
Governor Buni gave the assurance at the closing ceremony of the Machina Annual Cultural Festival (MACUF), in Machina Local Government Area of Yobe state.
The Machina Annual Cultural Festival “MACUF” is a yearly event organized to showcase the unique culture and tradition of the people of Machina being one of the ancient kingdoms in the Yobe state.
Speaking at the event Governor Mai Mala Buni revealed that Healthcare delivery, Education and Economic empowerment would be the desired attention to have a healthy and productive society.
The governor, however, commended the Emir of Machina Alhaji Bashir Albishir for maintaining the annual festival which promotes unity and harmony among different tribes living in the area.
He commended President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration for the support given to the Security agencies in the fighting against insurgency in the Northeast and the country at large.
“Buhari administration provides modern equipment after a long neglect which has been responsible for Nigeria’s security challenges” Buni added.
He further commended the President of the Senate Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, for providing the required leadership for a harmonious relationship between the Executive and Legislative arms of government.
In his remark, the Emir of Machina Alhaji Bashir Al-Bishir Machinama thanked Governor Buni’s administration for the support towards promoting the cultural activities in the state.
The Emir further announced the conferment of traditional titles to some personalities who attended the occasion, including the President of the Senate Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan as
the ‘Dan Masanin Machina, Governor Mai Mala Buni Zanna Gaddama of Machina, Kebbi state Governor Atiku Bagudu as ‘Dan Malikin Machina while the Jigawa State Governor Abubakar Badaru, as the Dokajin Machina.
This year’s festival also has in attendance the representative of the President of Niger Republic, Emir of Borno, Emir of Biu, Emir of Fika, Emir of Gombe, Emirs from Niger, Ghana and other dignitaries within and outside the country.
Other highlights of the event are presentations of awards to the winners of traditional wrestling and Langa.
