Zakkah And Waqf Foundation Advocates Tree Planting To Combat Climate Change.

In its continued efforts of serving humanity the Zakkah and waqf foundation Gombe state chapter has urged residents to imbibe the culture of tree planting as it purifies the air and combat climate change.
The chairman of the foundation sheikh Abdullahi Abubakar Lamido stated this during the commencement of tree planting at Kurba district of Yamaltu Deba Local Government Area of Gombe State.
Sheikh Abubakar Abdullahi described tree planting as one of the ibadat that yield rewards even after the demise of the performers, urging the good people of Kurba to embrace the habit of tree planting and nursing them.
He said one of the benefits of planting trees is to provide millions of species that protect humans from diseases.

The chairman Zakkah and the waqf foundation Gombe said the foundation has planted and distributed over 1,200 seedlings of different species urging the beneficiaries to take good care of the project for future generations to benefit from them.
He noted that tree planting has many advantages both Islamically and scientifically.
In his remark, the district head of Kurba Alhaji Abubakar Isah Kurba commended the foundation for the laudable project saying that tree planting protects against flood and water pollution.
The district head of Kurba assured the foundation that all the seedlings planted will be taken care of accordingly.
