2024 Hajj: Gov Bala appoints Emir of Dass as Amirul Hajj for Bauchi State.

Governor Bala Muhammad of Bauchi State has approved the appointment of the Emir of Dass Alhaji Usman Bilyaminu Othman the second as State Amirul Hajj for the 2024 Hajj exercise.
A statement signed by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor Mukhtar Gidado says the team would work with the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON as well as Saudi government and other stakeholders to ensure a successful hajj exercise for the state intending pilgrims.
The statement urges the team to discharge its duties diligently in accordance with the principles of fairness, equity and justice.
According to the statement, the team comprises Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly Jamilu Umar Dahiru, Chief Judge Justice Rabi Talatu Umar and Grand Khadi Ahmed Liman as members.
Others according to the statement includes Alhaji Ibrahim Yusuf Muhammad Baba, Galadiman Bauchi Surveyor Saidu Ibrahim Jahun, and State Chairman JIBWIS Sheikh Zubairu Abubakar Madaki.
The rest are Sheikh Salisu Suleiman Ningi, Sheikh Ibrahim Dahiru Bauchi and Malam Ahmad Inuwa Na’ibi while Yusuf Muhammad Haruna Barde is to serve as Secretary.
The appointment is with immediate effect.
