Qatar Charity Organisation has made a significant impact in Yobe State, by supporting 246 orphans with Sallah clothes.
Flagging off the distribution in Damaturu, the social welfare assistant for Qatar Charity Organisation, Abuja office, Abdulrahman Mohammad Isa, said the initiative is part of the organisation’s annual event to assist orphans and the less privileged across the country.
He pointed out that last year’s event was held in Gombe State, and this year, Yobe was selected as the beneficiary state.
The Social Welfare Assistant explained that the organization also distributed water filter bottles to help the beneficiaries access clean drinking water, particularly those from rural areas that have no access to potable drinking water.

Receiving the items on behalf of the state government, the state Coordinator of the Qatar Charity Organisation, Sheikh Babagana Mallam Kyari, represented by the Secretary of the organisation, Abdulkarim Bumsa, commended Qatar Charity for its timely intervention.
Mallam Kyari said the intervention will build the confidence of children who have lost their breadwinners to feel like any other child.
