Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas has donated the sum of 10 million naira to procure medications for the pharmacy unit of the state specialist hospital, Jalingo.
The Governor who made the donation when he visited the facility said he was there to personally assess the condition of the hospital and take necessary actions.
Governor kefas directed the hospital management to use the medications to treat patients who can not afford to purchase them.
He promised that henceforth, he would make monthly donations to the hospital to support indigent patients.
Speaking to Journalists, Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Alex Maiangwa described the Governor’s visit as impactful.
Dr. Maiangwa disclosed that the Governor had before now renovated and upgraded the facility’s dental unit to a world-class standard, pledging that other departments would be upgraded in no distant time.
The Chief Medical Director thanked Governor Kefas for his intervention, pointing out that he had instructed the hospital management to submit a comprehensive list of urgent needs to the state government by next week.
