Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has assured that his administration will remain committed to ensuring security in Adamawa State.

Governor Fintiri gave the assurance when he received the people of Hoba Chiefdom, who were on a thank-you visit at the Government House, Yola.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri solicited the support of residents in building an enduring society where there will be unity and pride as a people.

Fintiri stated that when he assumed office as governor in 2019, the number of out-of-school children in the state was alarming.

However, with much effort and reforms in the education sector, the number has drastically dropped, and the state is now performing wonderfully well educationally across the region and the nation at large.

He therefore solicited the collaboration of traditional rulers, as well as citizens, in the development of the state, assuring that the government will take decisive actions to clear all illegal structures blocking waterways, which are causing flooding in all the 21 local government areas of the state.

In his remarks, the Tol Hoba, His Majesty Alheri Bulus Nyako, said they were at the Government House to thank the governor for giving the people of Hoba Kingdom renewed hope.

He described the governor as a valuable asset to the people of the state and pledged continuous support for his efforts toward the development of the state.

Earlier in his address, the Chairman of the Hoba Elders Forum, Engineer Markus Gundiri, explained that their visit was to appreciate the governor for what he has been doing for the people of Hoba Chiefdom, to congratulate him on the conferment of a doctorate award by the University of Port Harcourt, to rejoice with him over the victory of the Super Falcons under the management of an indigene of the state, and to commiserate with him and the people of the state over the loss of lives and property caused by flooding.
