The Emir passed away on Thursday at a hospital in Abuja after a prolonged illness.

During the funeral, Governor Buni prayed for Allah’s forgiveness and mercy on the late Emir.

He also urged the people to remain upright and forgive one another, reminding them that death is inevitable and its timing is known only to Almighty Allah.

The Governor described the Emir’s death as a monumental loss to his family, the Gudi Emirate, Yobe State, and Nigeria.

The late Emir was 79 years old and is survived by four wives.
