NOA Launches Nationwide Sensitization Campaign in Yobe State.

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has launched a nationwide sensitization campaign in Yobe State, focusing on five critical thematic areas designed to strengthen citizen awareness, deepen trust in government, and promote national unity.

Flagging off the campaign, in Damaturu, the state capital, the Director-General of NOA, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, said the campaign aims to educate citizens on government policies, programmes, and activities, as well as promote national security awareness, flood mitigation and disaster preparedness, national values re-orientation, and the Nigerian identity project.

Represented by the Director, Planning, Research & Statistics (PRS) Nuru Yusuf Kobi, Mallam Issa-Onilu emphasized the Agency’s mandate to bridge the gap between government and citizens, ensuring Nigerians are well-informed and actively engaged in national development.

He pointed out that the campaign will be implemented across the 36 states, the FCT, and 774 LGAs, with engagements including press conferences, town hall meetings, school visitations, and advocacy visits to traditional and religious leaders.

DG NOA, further urged Citizens to participate actively in the engagements and serve as partners in building a stronger, united, and prosperous nation.
