NEDC applauds solar power project at Radio Nigeria Jewel FM Gombe.

The North East Development Commission NEDC has expressed satisfaction with the ongoing installation of solar panels at Radio Nigeria Jewel FM Gombe.

The Coordinator Gombe State office of the Commission, Architect Usman Muhammad, gave the commendation while inspecting the level of work at the station’s premises.

Architect Usman Muhammad explained that upon completion, the project would significantly reduce the station’s dependence on the national electricity supply.

Muhammad urged the management of Jewel FM to safeguard the facilities against vandalism, assuring that the NEDC remains committed to strengthening its partnership with the station.

He also revealed that similar projects are being executed at other Radio Nigeria FM stations across the North East to enhance service delivery.

On his part the General Manager of Radio Nigeria Jewel FM, Mallam Zubairu Ahmad Kumo, expressed gratitude to the Commission for what he described as a landmark intervention across six Radio Nigeria FM stations in the region.

He said the initiative would ease the station’s cost and enhance operations.

Mallam Kumo pledged the station’s full support in ensuring the sustainability of the project and strengthening its collaboration with the NEDC.
