The Federal Character Commission (FCC) has presented appointment letters to four indigenes of Nangere Local Government Area in Yobe State.
Presenting the letters to the beneficiaries, the Commissioner representing Yobe State at the FCC, Alh. Jibrin Maigari, stated that the appointments demonstrate commitment to ensuring equal opportunities for all citizens.
He emphasized that the people of Yobe State, under the leadership of Governor Mai Mala Buni, would not be overlooked in federal employment opportunities.
Maigari encouraged parents to support their children in pursuing science and health-related courses, which he believes will enhance their chances of employment.
He also advised young people to elect leaders who will foster peace, unity, and development. He further urged the beneficiaries to remember and support their parents who invested in their education.
The Chairman of Nangere Local Government Alhaji Salisu Yarima expressed gratitude to the FCC for bringing these opportunities to the community, which he described as unprecedented.
While encouraging youths to engage in meaningful endeavors to better themselves, Alh Yerima said the council is working to enhance the productive capacity of youth and women through agriculture and other entrepreneurial activities.
One of the beneficiaries, Mustapha Alh Mamma Dapchi, speaking on behalf of the others, thanked the Federal Government for the opportunity to serve their country.
The event which took place at government lodge in Nangere LGA, was attended by politicians, traditional and religious leaders, friends, family, and well-wishers.
