Governor Inuwa Yahaya Has Flagged The Construction of 7.5 MVA, 33/11KV In Gombe

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has flagged off the construction of a 7.5MVA, 33/11kV Injection Substation and a 2.5 kilometre 33kV line at the Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park, Dadin Kowa.

The project, to be executed by the Niger Delta Power Holding Company, is aimed at providing reliable electricity supply to the industrial park and connecting it directly to the national grid.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya described the initiative as a crucial step towards achieving his administration’s vision of industrialization and economic diversification, noting that the project aligns with the state’s domesticated Electricity Act which empowers Gombe to generate and distribute power locally.

He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for prioritizing power sector reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda, while calling on investors to take advantage of the opportunities within the industrial park.

Managing Director of the NDPHC, Engineer Jennifer Agidije, pledged the company’s commitment to supporting Gombe’s electrification drive, stressing that the new substation would boost productivity and attract investments to the state.

The event also featured goodwill messages from stakeholders, including the Emir of Yamaltu, Alhaji Abubakar Aliyu, who assured support from the host community, and the laying of the foundation stone by the Governor and NDPHC Managing Director.
