Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has sworn in Alhaji Adamu Jibrin as the new Chairman of Yusufari Local Government Council, following the death of Alhaji Bah Abba Aji.
The ceremony took place at the Government House in Damaturu, where Governor Buni urged the new chairman to prioritize security of lives and property.
In his address, Governor Buni emphasized the importance of the new chairman working closely with security agencies and traditional authorities to improve security in the area.
He also advised Alhaji Jibrin to be a team player, conduct government business transparently, and channel resources into areas of need that impact the lives of the people.
The governor expressed confidence in the new chairman’s ability to lead the local government council, saying the appointment was necessary to fill the vacuum created by the late chairman’s death.
He appealed to the people of Yusufari to support Alhaji Jibrin for a smooth and successful administration.
