Suleiman, wife of the Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly and Gimbiyar Matan ’Yan Majalisar Dokokin Jihar Bauchi, in collaboration with OZ Consulting Firm, has successfully organised another impactful Knowledge Exchange Programme at Leeds Trinity University.
The programme, which focused on Gender in Peace Building, Conflict Resolution, Social Sustainability, Awareness, and Community Development, brought together the spouses of Members of the Oyo State House of Assembly led by the Speaker’s wife, alongside other distinguished female staff members. The engagement provided a dynamic platform for dialogue, learning, and cross-cultural exchange.
Participants examined the pivotal role women play in promoting peace, driving sustainable development, and strengthening community structures. Through interactive sessions, shared experiences, and expert-led discussions, the forum explored practical strategies for inclusive leadership, gender-responsive conflict resolution, and the implementation of sustainable social impact initiatives.

The knowledge exchange not only broadened participants’ perspectives but also reinforced networks for sustained collaboration and community advancement. It further underscored the growing recognition of women as critical stakeholders in peacebuilding and long-term societal development.
It could be recalled that, OZ Consulting Firm has previously organised similar high-level engagements for members of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, aimed at strengthening legislative capacity, enhancing institutional effectiveness, and deepening members’ understanding of contemporary governance practices. The firm reaffirmed its commitment to continually supporting lawmakers through strategic knowledge-sharing platforms designed to enrich legislative work and broaden professional experience.
The organisers expressed profound appreciation to the Oyo State House of Assembly under the leadership of the Speaker, Adebo Ogundoyin, for entrusting the firm with the responsibility of facilitating the programme and for supporting initiatives that promote women’s empowerment and sustainable development.
The event was widely described as inspiring and transformative, reaffirming the importance of empowering women as catalysts for unity, peace, and enduring community progress.
