Senator Oluremi Tinubu, distributes food items to 2,000 women in Borno.

the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has distributed food items to two thousand women in Borno State under her humanitarian foundation the Renewed Hope Initiative.

The distribution exercise was held at the Government House Maiduguri.

In her keynote address, the Borno State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Initiative, Dr. Falmata Babagana Umara Zulum, described the distribution as timely saying its reflects the values of sacrifice and compassion that define the holy month of Ramadan.

While extending her appreciation to the First Lady of Nigeria, Dr. Falmata commended her unwavering commitment to humanity, kindness, and service to the nation adding that the timely intervention, coming during this Ramadan, has brought immense relief, hope, and joy to many vulnerable families.

Dr. Falmata assured beneficiaries of continued support, noting that the initiative would expand to reach more communities and called on the public to uphold the spirit of giving, sharing, and compassion during the holy month of Ramadan.

Earlier in her welcome address, the commissioner of women affairs and social development, Zuwairah Gambo said the exercise has become a regular practice in Borno State emphasizing that the intervention from the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu will go a long way to ease the hardship of the people.

Items distributed include 25kg bag of rice, one carton of spaghetti, cooking oil.
