Wife of the Bauchi State Governor, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed has launched the distribution of food items to women and vulnerable groups as Ramadan Palliative under the renewed hope initiative.
Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed who is the North East Coordinator of the initiative said the palliative was aimed at cushioning the hardship being faced by people in the country.
She explained that the items were provided by Nigeria’s First Lady,Mrs Oluremi Tinubu in collaboration with the North East Development Commission and the State Ministry of women affairs and child development.
She urged the benefiting families to judiciously utilise the items and solicited their support and prayers for Federal and State Governments to meet the yearning and aspirations of all the citizens.
Items distributed include rice, maize sugar, millet and groundnut oil among others.
