National Assembly members from Gombe State have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the sole presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement was announced by the Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, Usman Bello Kumo, who represents Akko Federal Constituency.
He made this known during the APC State Congress held at Pantami Stadium.
According to him, all National Assembly members from Gombe State unanimously backed President Tinubu as the party’s sole presidential candidate for 2027, citing what he described as the President’s remarkable leadership and efforts in steering the country through challenging economic times.
Kumo stated that the administration has introduced policies and programmes aimed at reducing the cost of food items and addressing hunger across the country.
Speaking at the event, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya commended the APC committee from the party’s National Secretariat, led by Danjuma Dabo, for overseeing the inauguration of the State Congress.
The governor charged the newly inaugurated party executives to remain loyal and committed to strengthening the party at all levels.
He also applauded the National Assembly members for their endorsement of President Tinubu and assured them of his administration’s continued support toward securing victory for APC candidates in future elections.
Earlier, the newly inaugurated APC Chairman in Gombe State, Muhammad Dantata, pledged full loyalty to the party and promised to justify the confidence reposed in the new leadership.
