Police Present Cheques to Families of Fallen Officers in Borno.

The Borno State Police Command has presented cheques totaling over five point five million naira to families of police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.

The Commissioner of Police, Naziru Abdulmajid, made the presentation as part of activities marking the 2024 National Police Day celebration.

In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso, the gesture, carried out under the Group Life Assurance Scheme and the Inspector-General of Police Welfare Scheme, is aimed at supporting the next of kin of the deceased officers and reaffirming the Force’s commitment to personnel welfare.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Solomon Japhet expressed appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police and the Borno State Command, describing the support as a source of relief and encouragement.

The Commissioner of Police assured that additional welfare support would be provided to further enhance the well-being of the families, while reaffirming the Command’s dedication to honoring the sacrifices of fallen officers.
