A youth group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe South Zone B has appealed to the Yobe State Government, party leaders and stakeholders to ensure rotation of leadership for equitable representation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The group, led by Nura Muhammad Distin, made the appeal in a statement, stressing that democracy is founded on the principles of equity, justice and inclusiveness.

It noted that leadership in a democratic setting should not be restricted to a select few, but should provide all zones with fair and equal opportunities to participate in governance.

The group therefore advocated the consideration and endorsement of Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomoi from Yobe South as the APC governorship candidate in the state.

It also called on the National Chairman of the APC, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, the North-East APC leadership under Dr Ali Bukar Dalori, and the Yobe State APC Chairman, Muhammad Gadaka, alongside other stakeholders, to ensure fairness by supporting the senator’s candidacy.

The youth group reaffirmed its loyalty and commitment to the APC, pledging continued support for the unity, growth and success of the party.
