Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda has formally launched the 2026 Fertilizer Sales and Distribution Programme at Malumfashi Local Government Area of the state.
In his speech at the occasion, Governor Radda announced that the fertilizer will be sold at a subsidized rate of ₦25,000 per bag.
He stated that the distribution will take place across 6,652 polling units statewide.
Governor Radda emphasized that this structure eliminates middlemen and ensures that the fertilizer reaches farmers directly.
The Governor stressed that fertilizer alone cannot deliver agricultural transformation, adding that the state has adopted a comprehensive approach to agricultural development.
He urged farmers to use the provided inputs judiciously for their intended purpose, and encouraged youths to take advantage of agricultural opportunities.
