The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON has introduced a new digital platform known as the Hajj Companion App, aimed at improving the overall experience of Nigerian pilgrims during the pilgrimage.

According to the Commission, the application is designed as an all-in-one guide, offering essential support services to ensure a safe, smooth and spiritually rewarding Hajj exercise.

Pilgrims have been advised to download the application by scanning the official QR code provided through authorised communication channels ahead of their departure.

The Hajj Companion App features a GPS navigation system to assist pilgrims in locating their tents and key holy sites in Makkah, Mina and Madinah with ease.

It also provides a comprehensive Hajj guide translated into major Nigerian languages, including Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo, to enhance accessibility for users from diverse backgrounds.

In addition, the platform offers a 24-hour call centre for real-time support, alongside a built-in complaint system that allows pilgrims to report issues or emergencies directly through their mobile devices.

The Commission has urged all intending pilgrims, stakeholders and the public to embrace and promote the application, describing it as a vital tool for ensuring safety, coordination and convenience as preparations for the Hajj continue.
