Radio Nigeria Peace FM, has been commended for their excellent reportage in Dissemination the impact of climate change that leads to drought and flooding which are detrimental to the environment as a result of global warming cursed by man’s daily activities.
The commendation was made by the Director General of the Borno Agency for the Great Green World Ambassador Usman Aliyu, when the General Manager Peace FM Maiduguri Abba Dikko led the management team paid a courtesy visit to the Agency’s Nursery site at Damboa road, and to congratulate him on his new appointment.
In his brief remark the DG Great Green World congratulate Abba Dikko on his new appointment as the GM Peace Fm and encourage him to carry everyone along for the station to succeed to a greater height and beyond imagination and promised to visit the station for a ceremonial tree plant.
He then praised Gov Babagana Umara Zulum, for his foresight in making Borno green again through afforestation and for finding worthy of the appointment.
Our correspondent Abubakar Musa Haruna reports that, Amb Usman Aliyu has send a strong signal by called on people of Borno State, to embrace the attitude of tree planting as a hubby and to reduce the inducement of greenhouse gasses that tend to pollute and degrade the ozone layer as secondary success of climate change.
Earlier General Manager Peace FM, Abba Mohammad Dikko, said he was highly impressed with the DG, saying his feat in afforestation since secondary school days is what made him who he is today adding that his zeal and commitment in the field, is what the Governor Zulum saw in him.
The General Manager Peace FM, then stated that with the Motto of the Agency to Plant, protect and nurture Tree’s, In Sha Allah in the next coming years, Borno shall become Green Again.
