A non-governmental organization, Sharing Education for Life and Learning (SELL), has organized a workshop for couples in Bauchi aimed at strengthening family cohesion as a foundation for lasting peace in society.

The Coordinator of the organization, Mr. Benjamin Jibe, stated that workshop was designed to bring about enduring peace through stronger family units.

He emphasized that a society built on family cohesion can effectively combat social vices and foster positive changes among couples, which would ultimately be reflected in the wider community.

Mr. Jibe further disclosed that the foundation has also been empowering women and youth through training in Smart Agriculture.

This initiative, he explained, is to expose them to various modern farming activities to help families achieve bumper harvests despite the challenges posed by climate change.

In separate interviews, some of the participants Kasim Aliyu and Grace Yunusa, described the training as timely.

They noted that society has neglected its core values, leading to negative changes, and promised to step down the knowledge acquired to benefit their communities.
