Gombe State Ministry for Local Government and Community Development, in collaboration with a Prime Tech Solutions Industries, organized a 3-day workshop on retirement planning and emergency preparedness.
The workshop, brought together over 50 participants, including Deputy Heads of Administration from various local government areas and other stakeholders.
In his opening remarks, the Commissioner for Local Government and Community Development, Alhaji Abdulkadir Muhammad Waziri emphasized the importance of retirement planning and emergency preparedness.
Abdulkadir Muhammad Waziri said Gombe State Government is committed to ensuring that its citizens are well-equipped to face the challenges of retirement and emergency situations,
The commissioner, who was represented by his Special Adviser, Hon Garba Mohammed Ubale, highlighted the state government’s efforts in settling gratuities of retired civil servants, including retired local government staff.
He also commended governor Inuwa Yahaya commitment to infrastructural development across the 11 local government areas of the state, as well as his efforts to promote human capital development in both local government and the state as a whole.
The workshop featured presentations and discussions on various topics, including retirement planning, emergency preparedness, risk management, and more.
Participants had the opportunity to share their experiences and challenges, receiving guidance and support from experts in the field.
One participant, Mallam Adamu Pindiga, commended the organizers for providing a platform for knowledge sharing and networking.
The Chief Consultant of Prime Tech Solutions Industries, Professor Mansur Malumfashi of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, commended Gombe State Government for its commitment to the welfare and development of its citizens.
