JCI Bauchi City Launches “Impact a Baby with a Smile 2.0” Project

Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bauchi City has offered gifts to ten newborn babies and their mothers tagged the 2025 “Impact a Baby with a Smile 2.0” project, aimed at supporting families in the state amidst the current economic hardship.

The initiative which held at Specialist Hospital and Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), focused on supporting the newborns and empowering their mothers for a brighter future.

During the event, the President,JCI Bauchi City Akintunde Tajudeen Taiwo, said the intervention would positively impact the beneficiaries, emphasising that the project aligns with JCI Nigeria’s 2025 theme, “Elevate” and Bauchi chapter’s mandate.

He said ten families, including the first baby of the year 2025, received gifts of baby clothes, diapers and cash, reiterating that JCI as a philanthropic organisation would continue to support positive and impactful projects across the state.

The President JCI Bauchi City, called for collaboration with partners and other stakeholders in the society to sustain and expand impactful community programmes across Bauchi State.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the donors, describing the project as a blessing amid the economic challenges in the country, emphasising it keeps hope and resilience among communities.

Our correspondent Murtala Muhammad reports that mothers also benefited from a postnatal care session, where they were equipped with essential information and knowledge on how to ensure their children’s health and well-being.

Radio Nigeria gathered that the initiative which started in 2021 by JCI Ambassador Iliyia Kauta, has grown significantly, reflecting JCI’s spirit of service and to humanity.
