FTH Gombe Board Chairperson Pledges Commitment to Quality Healthcare

The newly appointed Chairperson of the Board of Management, Federal Teaching Hospital (FTH) Gombe, Zainab Abubakar Ibrahim, has assured staff and management of her commitment to improving healthcare services.

In her first official engagement following her appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Zainab Ibrahim, who hails from Jalingo, Taraba State, embarked on a familiarisation visit to the hospital, where she engaged with key stakeholders.

She expressed determination to foster excellence in service delivery, recognising the hospital’s pivotal role in providing quality clinical service, training, and research.

She commended the hospital’s management and staff fo their dedication and pledged to work towards addressing challenges hindering efficient healthcare delivery.

Speaking, the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Yusuf Muhammad Abdullahi, who took the chairperson through an overview of the hospital’s core functions and operational structure, reaffirmed its commitment to improve medical services.

On his part, the Gombe State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Habu Dahiru, emphasised the state government’s collaboration with the hospital, noting that Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s administration remains steadfast in strengthening the healthcare sector.

He pledged continued support to improve infrastructure and service delivery.
