The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) has urged local government officials to adhere strictly to financial guidelines in administering local government affairs.
This call was made by PCACC Chairman, Mr. Muhuyi Magaji, at a three-day workshop themed “Intense Capacity Building for All Stakeholders.”Held at Dawakin Kudu local government area.
The workshop aims to equip local government chairmen and officials with the necessary knowledge and skills to handle administration, financial regulations, and store regulations effectively.
Magaji emphasized the importance of the workshop in addressing corruption and promoting effective service delivery .
He encouraged participants to ask questions and enhance their understanding of local government administration.
The workshop is part of PCACC’s efforts to promote transparency, accountability, and effective governance in local government administration in Kano State.

Ibrahim Shazali urged local government officials to ensure financial accountability aimed at moving the nation forward.
Tajo Mohammad the Commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs said objectives of the workshop was to avail the chairmen and officials of the local government on how to adequately handle the administration of local government,geared towards enhancing financial accountability.
Established in 2005, the PCACC has been working to combat corruption and promote good governance in the state. The commission has received over 6,350 complaints and has recovered funds worth over N235 million .
