Ramadan: Adamawa Gov’s Wife Donates Food Items To Vulnerable Groups

In a move to alleviate the suffering of the less privileged during the holy month of Ramadan, Hajiya Lami Fintiri, wife of Adamawa State Governor, has donated food items to four vulnerable groups in the state.

These groups include the Christian Association of Nigeria, Women wing, the federal Muslim Women Association of Nigeria, Widows Association of Nigeria and Persons with special needs.

The donation was made in collaboration with the Renewed Hope Initiative of the Office of the Wife of the President of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

Hajiya Lami expressed her appreciation for Senator Oluremi’s commitment to supporting the less privileged.

Mrs. Hilda Makanto, speaking on behalf of the widows, commended the Adamawa State Government for their efforts in providing assistance to those in need.

Leaders of the religious groups, Mrs. Catherine Jatau and Bilkisu Abdullrashid, also applauded the state government’s efforts in alleviating sufferings of the less privileged.

The president of the persons with special needs, Abdullahi Toungo, stressed that the state government has over time honoured them by consistently remembering them in their activities.

This donation is a testament to the state government’s commitment to supporting vulnerable groups and promoting social welfare in Adamawa State.

The initiative, which targeted all 21 local government areas of Adamawa State, included cash support for beneficiaries.

The items distributed included bags of rice, sugar, and other essential items.
