A University DON Called on Government To Shifts its Economic Recovery Strategies To Skills Acquisition.

A Renowned Professor Of Agric-Economics with the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, ATBU Bauchi, Professor Ahmed Jibrin Nayaya has called on Government at all levels to shift its economic recovery strategies to skills acquisition.

Professor Nayaya made the call at the 3rd graduation ceremony of Cosmetology and Detergent Production Training, organized by A-Team Youth and Women Development Initiative in collaboration with Wunti Al-khair Foundation.

He stressed the need for governments to prioritise skills acquisition training as the only panacea to Nigeria’s dwindling economy.

In an opening remark, the Director General of A-Team Youth and Women Development Initiative, Engineer Anas Hussaini Kirfi who said the aim was to change the mindset of youth through skills acquisition, thanked Wunti Al-khair Foundation for the gesture and urged it to maintain the momentum.

Also speaking, Sheikh Ibrahim Muhammad Duguri commended the organization for the training and cash donation to fifty vulnerable.

He called on government to alleviate the current hardship being experienced across the country.

Some of the beneficiaries, Zainab Shehu Ahmed, Salamatu Mukhtar and Precious Michael Adike who expressed gratitude to the organizers of the program promised to make judicious use of the starter packs to become self reliant.

Highlight of the event was the presentation of certificate to the trainees, starter packs and palliative to vulnerable.
