Adamawa Deputy Governor Inspects Medical Facilities in Two Local Government Areas.

Adamawa state government has applauded the contracting firm handling the construction of Demsa local government cottage hospital and other key players for their efforts in completing the project.

Adamawa State Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta stated this during an inspection visit to the project site on Tuesday.

Professor Kaletapwa Farauta who was in company of other government officials were at the cottage hospital in Demsa to see things for herself.

The Deputy Governor expressed satisfaction with the feat achieved, commending the contracting firm for job Weldon.

She revealed that the hospital facilities are on ground as government left no stone unturned in its quest to meet the health needs of the masses.

According to her, the health facility of 120 bed capacity and staff quarters is expected to provide quality and affordable health services to the people of Demsa and beyond.

Earlier, the deputy governor was at the Mayo Belwa town of Mayo Belwa local government area of the state where she also stressed the need for timely completion of the ongoing construction of Mayo Belwa general hospital for the provision of needed health services.

Professor Kaletapwa Farauta explained that project when completed will serve the inhabitants of Mayo Belwa local government and environs.

She emphasized that health is one of the cardinal agenda of governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri led administration.

The Deputy Governor urged the contracting firm Sampraco Nigeria Limited to ensure timely completion of the health facility, while government remains committed at ensuring needed resources is available for the project to come into fruition.

The Commissioner of health and human services Felix Tangwami, who was part of the visit revealed that the project was abandoned by successive administrations until the coming of purposeful leadership of governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, assuring that all machineries are in place to complete the project on time.

The Principal Medical officer Mayo Belwa general hospital Dr. Peter Paul lauded the fresh air administration for their foresight and political will to execute such people oriented projects in nooks and cranny of Adamawa state, noting that the health facility if completed will require the services of at least 10 doctors, visiting consultants and nurses for optimal result.

It was revealed that the hospital is currently operating at its temporary site, pending the completion of the project.
