Adamawa State Deputy Governor hails Appeal Court Verdict.

Adamawa State Deputy governor, professor Kaletapwa Farauta has applauded the Appeal Court sitting in Abuja,for protecting democracy and the rule of law in Nigeria.

The commendation followed the dismissal of the suit filed at the Appeal court by APC and its governorship candidate Aishatu Dahiru Binani against the victory of governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and PDP.

The Appeal Court sitting in Abuja on Monday dismissed the petition of APC governorship candidate Aishatu Dahiru Binani, challenging governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s victory at the 2023 governorship polls for lack of merit.

The court ruled in favour of governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri as the duly elected governor of Adamawa state.

Addressing Journalists after the verdict, deputy governor professor Kaletapwa Farauta said the victory belongs to God and the entire Adamawa people commending them for their solidarity all through.

She called on the people of the state irrespective of party or any affiliation to join forces with the ruling PDP to build a better, united, peaceful and prosperous state.

Professor Farauta said the fresh air administration will never be distracted or succumb to pressure, noting that despite all odds, it will continue to abide by the oath taken and provide needed services to the people.

 Aishatu Dahiru Binani and APC had earlier lost out to PDP at the state governorship election petition tribunal that sat in Yola, before proceeding to Appeal court.
